In Progress

If mortality was no longer a concern, how would our relationship to others, the world, and to society change? Beyond external considerations, how it would change our relationship with ourselves, our bodies, and the limits of our consciousness and corporeal form. Would we place more or less emphasis on youthful beauty? Would we treat our bodies with more care, or with more reckless abandon. Would we expand our sexuality and openness with our bodies or become more modest and protective of it? Would we seek a more spiritual life or a more hedonistic one - perhaps both. After many many years would we grow tired of the limits of our physical form and seek ways to escape the confines of our flesh. Would we have more time to discover and understand the mysteries of our universe and consciousness, and therefore come to see our bodies as a ball and chain that tethers us to this dimension. Death is already the most mysterious and abstract concept - if we were to become more disconnected from it, what would choose to do with our bodies.
