Vinny is a wine, snack, and listening bar in Montreal’s Old Port — a space that shifts from day to night, bottle shop and café by day, wine bar with DJs and late-night programming by night. It’s designed to feel current without chasing trends — a spot to work, pick up a bottle, or stay out late and dance. The identity is minimal and brutalist, with a layer of playfulness that reflects the energy of nightlife. A custom typeface was developed, inspired by the physicality of wine — elongated stems, vertical “legs,” and stretched forms that bring elegance and motion while staying minimal. The logo system extends this logic, with the “Y” nodding to a wine glass silhouette, supported by icons representing a glass, a dancer, and a vinyl spiral. Vinny’s visual language carries through photography and communication. Brand imagery is quiet and sculptural — close-ups, cropped forms, and magnified textures that feel editorial and elevated. Event photography contrasts this with spontaneity: hard flash, imperfect moments, and energy in motion. Together, they create a system that is intentional but never overproduced. Digital and street presence mirror this restraint: minimal, sharp, and stripped-back to cut through visual noise. Across platforms, Vinny feels lived-in, enticing, and rebellious — a brand world that is distinct, current, and built to last.
